        Been saying that for more than 20 years, as regards treatment of refugees. The irony is that if they stopped spending billions each year being beastly to refugees, they could use the money to improve the lot of unemployed, homeless, veterans and many others crying out for help. While simultaneously silencing the “charity begins at home, stuff the refugees” brigade.

          Arthur,
          I think that conservatives look upon the homeless, unemployed, those on some sort of benefit as lacking moral fibre and in part to blame for their predicament. As a consequence, they don’t consider them worthy of help. It is a blight on our nation and the sooner these bastards are kicked out the better.
