As most people know, the US midterm elections are to be held on the 3rd of November, which is just over a week away. However, those who are elected do not take their seats in Congress until the 3rd of January 2027. In these coming midterm elections, all 435 House of Representatives seats are up for election, as are 33 of the 100 seats in the Senate (Senators serve six year terms)1.
That is two months from the election, and given that it looks like the Republican majorities in the House of Representatives and the Senate may evaporate, what could the Mango Paedo do in those two months? Given that he has the intelligence of a green vegetable, and the temper of a toddler, this malignant narcissist will be driven to revenge, such that his perceived enemies in politics and the media will be targeted. The populace, in not voting for him, will also be the target of his wrath.
Despite the election results being known soon after the 3rd of November, the current Congress may sit before the handover to the new Congress in January. This has become quite common in recent years usually to polish off legislative business. The Mango Paedo could use this to seek legislation from the existing Republican majorities for such things as appropriations, appointments among other things. However, if the Congress does not meet after the midterms, he would have little chance to obtain new legislation2. Normal people would hope that the Republicans who have lost their seats would suddenly find their spine and rein in at least some of the Mango Paedo’s puerile excesses before they walk out the door for the last time. After all it was his stupidity which lost their seats for them.
If the Republicans get hammered in the midterm elections and find their spines in the interim, this does not affect the President’s executive power. The Mango Paedo retains the power to do the following:
- Issue executive orders,
- Issue new regulations,
- Direct executive departments, change enforcement priorities and instruct agency heads,
- Conduct diplomacy, negotiate with other nations,
- Direct military operations
- Grant pardons and reprieves for federal offences (except in cases of impeachment)
- Replace some political appointees and other personnel3
Given Trump’s actions in 2001 after the election of Biden to the presidency, I am certain that he and his arse-lickers will state that the election was rigged. Despite his constant lying about everything, I suspect there may be enough gullible remnant MAGAts who actually believe this, to the extent that they attempt another coup. I hope they realise that there will be no pardons handed out this time.
This seems appropriate: “At the end of this road, if the Democrats seize a majority in both the House and the Senate, Trump will become a Manhattan sewer rat cornered in a dank alley fighting over a rotting slice of pizza”4.
I hope, instead, that the bastard paedophile fights over that pizza in prison.
